PTA Board Elections for the 2024-2025 School Year

We are starting our planning for the 2024-25 school year. PTA board members guide how we serve the JM community through our community building and fundraising. Fundraising provides essentials like academic tutors, noon supervisors, movement and dance, and library. To support these efforts, we have two quick asks: confirm your membership and help us identify leaders.

1. Please click the button below to confirm your membership: We want to make sure we have an accurate list of members.

2. Help us identify leaders: The PTA board has elected officers and appointed members. Officers are elected yearly in April. Please use the form above to (1) join the nominations committee, (2) let us know if you are interested in running for an office, or (3) are interested in having a conversation with somebody about what it means to join the PTA Board.

Elected roles are elected by the PTA membership. Roles marked as open are those where the current leader is being termed out of the position.

  • President - Help provide overall leadership in supporting our students

  • Executive Vice President - Help the president in performing their duties

  • Vice President of Fundraising - Lead the charge in supporting our fundraising

  • VP Membership & Community Involvement - Promote PTA involvement

  • VP Volunteer Coordinator - Help support our wonderful team of volunteers

  • Treasurer - Keep the books and ensure we meet our financial obligations

  • Historian (Open) - Help track volunteer hours and key milestones

  • Financial Secretary (Open) - work with the treasurer to meet our financial responsibilities.

Appointed board roles provide critical support for the JM community.  You can use the form above to let us know if you are interested in any of these roles also.

  • Diversity and Inclusion - Help ensure the JM is an welcoming and inclusive community

  • Communications - Help keep the JM community up-to-date

  • Parliamentarian - Assist with the bylaws the help guide our work

  • Room Parent Coordinator - Keep in touch with a great group of room parents

  • Full Inclusion and Special Education Liaison - Ensure we are connected and responsive to the needs of our special education community

  • Auction Lead - Lead our amazing annual community benefit. 

  • Joaq-a-thon Lead - Lead the Joaq-a-thon in the fall

  • Wolverine Support Squad - Help pitch in wherever we are needed (cooking for events, cleaning up the JM yard, etc.)

  • SpEd/Inclusion Liaison (Open) - advocate for SpEd families on the PTA board

  • Sister School Liaison (Open) - Coordinate fundraising and donation efforts with our sister school.

  • Affinity Group Liaison (Open) - Coordinate PTA communications with our JM Affinity Groups.
