Joaquin Miller Elementary School is committed to fostering a vibrant community reflective of Oakland, where expert learners thrive, inclusivity prevails, and a joy for learning flourishes. As a school as diverse as the city we live in, the JM PTA is committed to raising funds to support a learning environment that empowers every student to discover their unique talents, embrace challenges, and cultivate a love for lifelong learning.

Each year, the JM PTA raises more than $300,000 to enrich the lives of our children through the following:

  • Arts Enrichment
  • Physical Education
  • Library services 
  • Academic tutors
  • Field trips for each classroom
  • Essential classroom supplies
  • Social Emotional Learning Support
  • Campus beautification
  • Social events like the spring dance and Trunk or Treat

The JM PTA deeply understands that every JM family is coming from a different place, but we value every contribution regardless of amount. That’s why we have many ways to plug in and support. Every family has something to offer, and we all have something to gain. A gift to the JM PTA creates new opportunities and new possibilities for our entire community.
